Helena O'Connor

Athlone native Helena O'Connor did not pursue art until late in life. Her use of numerous themes and diverse mediums demonstrate that she is not limited to any one style or medium. "I paint because I love it and because painting allows me escapism from reality. I have obtained a freedom when I paint because I do not confine myself to themes, surfaces or medium."
