Lesley Wingfield

Lesley was born in London but has been an Irish resident since 1974. She works from her studio in Shambles Art Studios Athlone of which she is a founder member. “My work is figurative and focuses on people, relationships, vulnerability and playfulness and my practise is in Photography, drawing and Painting. As a child I enjoyed observing what many would consider mundane everyday scenes, I still enjoy ‘people watching’, putting my own interpretation to the scenario unfolding in front of me.”
