Ursula Meehan was born in Dublin in 1964 into a family where art and craft was an intrinsic part of life and work. She left art college at 18 to ‘travel the world’, making her living as a street drawer in cities in countries throughout Europe. “Rooted in the rural environment of North Westmeath, my landscapes express complex feelings, and reflect on the relationship we have with the land in this era of the Anthropocene age.”
